Jay Leno has apologised for offensive jokes he has made about Asian people and called these a "legitimate wrong". The former Tonight Show host, 70, has previously been criticised for remarks he has made in the past.
The apology comes following a 15-year campaign by the the activist group Media Action Network for Asian Americans (MANAA) regarding comments made by the comedian about the Asian community.
Now, in a joint press statement reported by Variety with MANAA leader Guy Aoki, Leno said: "At the time I did those jokes, I genuinely thought them to be harmless.
