James May vows to continue The Grand Tour until 'one of us just dies'

Jeremy Clarkson, James May and Richard Hammond have promised to keep making The Grand Tour until ‘one of them dies. ’The trio have been testing cars on hair-raising roads on our screens since the early 2000s, when they presented Top Gear on the BBC.

The motorheads have since moved to Amazon Prime with The Grand Tour, a similarly formatted show which sees them travel across the world in different specials.

Now four series and six years in, James, 59, said they have no plans of slowing down, promising fans that the show will continue for as long as they are all alive.

He said: ‘[Driving around on TV] isn’t particularly arduous. There are bigger problems in the world. There are far bigger problems in the world.
