James Gunn took to Twitter on Saturday to deny rumors circulating that George Clooney will return to the role of Batman.The Guardians of the Galaxy director, 56, has taken on a new role as the new studio head of DC Studios alongside producer Peter Safran, and the pair have recently begun making changes to future projects.Due to his new role, the screenwriter has been bombarded with questions about the studio's future, including upcoming casting announcements.One rumor that has been circling is whether or not George Clooney, 61, will reprise his role as Batman in any new DC films.Gunn replied to a tweet that asked: 'Is it true you're casting George Clooney as the new main DCU Batman?' to which he replied, 'Absolutely not.'
