James Argent reflects on 'special' funeral for Tom Parker and 'feeling his presence'

James Argent has opened up about how ‘special’ Tom Parker’s funeral was, as he appeared on Good Morning Britain. The Wanted singer sadly passed away last month at the age of 33 after a brain cancer battle and his funeral was held yesterday, Wednesday, 20 April.

Richard Bacon asked former TOWIE star Arg about the “difficult day”, which was an emotional goodbye to dad-of-two Tom. An emotional and reflective James began: “Yeah, it was obviously extremely sad at times.

However, the 34-year-old TV star admitted that it was also a “really special” service filled with “beautiful” tributes to the late singer. “There was really, really special beautiful moments throughout the day,” he continued, “and it just really felt like Tom’s presence was there from the music and some of the speeches. “There was almost, you had that element of Tom’s banter, charm and charisma and stuff and I just felt that it couldn’t have gone any better.The sun was shining and it just couldn’t have gone better.” Kate Garraway added: “You didn’t want it to have happened at all, but if it was going to happen it was good.” Kate, 54, admitted many viewers might not have “connected the dots” between how the TV star and the singer became friends.
