As we know, after the red-carpet appearance her family made headlines for other reasons - thanks to that on-stage altercation between Will Smith and Chris Rock, and Smith's subsequent Best Actor win - but, prior to the event, her stylist Georgia Medley says she'd never seen her "so excited or happy" when trying on the dream dress.

The gown was created by Belgian designer Glenn Martens, who made his haute couture debut as a guest designer for Jean Paul Gaultier's spring/summer 2022 collection in January. "As soon as I saw the Glenn Martens Jean Paul Gaultier Couture collection, I just knew this dress would need a red-carpet moment," Medley tells us. "I always like to capture a moment with Jada for any red carpet, but even more so for the biggest red-carpet of all. . . "The gown features an enormous ruffled skirt that cascades out into a show-stopping train, with a ruched zip-up bodice and a high neck, all in a deep emerald green.
