Richard Madeley has been labelled a 'hypocrite' after he criticised a shoplifter and demanded 'proof' that people are starving whilst presenting Good Morning Britain.The debate took place on Monday's episode of the ITV show, which was celebrating its tenth anniversary.
The discussion was sparked by members of the Everybody Eats campaign who had taken food to replenish food bank supplies without paying for it.Luke, an activist supporting the Eats Everything movement, was a guest on the show.
Discussing the issue with show host Richard and Susanna Reid, he argued: "People are getting desperate and they need help."However, Richard questioned his use of the term "starving" - as reports the Mirror.
