Deaf model Georgia Meacham was left in tears during her appearance on Wednesday's Good Morning Britain, after she was surprised on-set by Love Island's Tasha Ghouri.Tasha, 25, made Love Island history in 2022, as its first-ever deaf contestant, and she's gone on to raise awareness of the condition ever since.

On Wednesday, 15 May, Georgia appeared on Good Morning Britain to talk about being deaf, as she credited Tasha in making her feel more confident and open about her condition.

Georgia said: "She was so confident and she was talking about it so positively, and growing up, I was always the only one at school with hearing aids, I was always the only one with a hearing aid at university with hearing aids. "I've never had a friend with hearing aids, or deaf.

I've never been a part of that community." She revealed to hosts Susanna Reid and Ed Balls that she had hoped Tasha would reach out after she shared her story on Instagram last week, but hadn't yet heard from the star and "hoped she would get in touch".
