U.K. TV giant ITV late in the week unveiled two investments worth $14.075 million, one in the joint venture behind the upcoming BritBox Australia streaming service and one in a provider of a data collaboration platform.
The company, led by CEO Carolyn McCall, said it would invest A$17.7 million ($12.7 million) in the BritBoxAustralia Partnership, its venture with BBC Studios, over a period of three years. "Consistent with ITV's plans for expansion, BritBox Australia is on track to launch" in the fall, the company said, adding that BBC Studios would provideequal funding.
