ITV This Morning in competition chaos following phone-in 'prank' live on air

This Morning was thrown into chaos on Monday morning's instalment of the ITV show after the 'Spin to Win' competition was abandoned following a phone prank which left the hosts stunned live on air.ITV presenters Rochelle Humes and Craig Doyle were fronting the flagship breakfast programme as they excitedly got underway with the regular segment, which offers viewers the chance to cash-in by picking up their phones and saying the correct words.But a caller answered and instead of going by the rules, which requires the person on the phone to state the day's 'password' to win a cash prize, they shouted noises down the phone line before they were abruptly hung up on."I don't know what that was," Rochelle said stunned as she quickly tried to divert attention and said "Shall we just move on?"With the on-air blunder not helping matters, all randomly chosen callers failed to answer their phones with the special passcode and instead said 'hello' resulting in the game being called off and a £1,000 roll-over.It now means that tomorrow's Spin to Win on Tuesday has increased the jackpot for those taking part to win up to £4,000.

However, host Rochelle warned: "Guess what, you've got to be home and you've got to answer the phone.""Answer the phone, it's that easy," chimed her co-host Craig Doyle.
