ITV's The Chase viewers amazed by quality of first two contestants

Many fans of The Chase regularly tune in with the hope of seeing participants embarrass themselves with incorrect answers. But today’s episode saw an impressive collection of contestants build up a steady jackpot.

First up was 40-year-old Rob, who despite incorrectly guessing the answer £2.50 to the question ‘How much does a gallon of milk cost at £1 per pint?’, accumulated £7,000 in the cash builder.

Up against the Governess, Anne Hegerty, Rob cruised back home, answering every question correctly. Scot Dimitra was next and also stuck with her cash builder tally - this time the slightly lower sum of £6,000.

However, the prison manager’s assertive confidence in her answers made her a force to be reckoned with.
