Charity Dingle (Emma Atkins) is saved by an unlikely person after stabbing Mackenzie Boyd (Lawrence Robb) in Emmerdale. Charity has been suffering from hallucinations and nightmares since she killed Harry Harris (Robert Beck) on Christmas Day in order to keep Mackenzie safe.
Charity kept saying she was fine, but she started acting very strangely at the pub during the Thursday 22 February episode. Charity thought she saw Harry in her house trying to scare her, but it wasn't real.
When Mackenzie got home, he attempted to help Charity. However Charity was so terrified, she thought Mackenzie was Harry. She told Mack, "Leave me alone," before stabbing him with a knife in self-defence.
Mackenzie was hurt badly, and while trying to stop the heavy bleeding asked Charity to call for help, saying, "Charity I need you to call an ambulance.” But Charity was too shocked to do anything when Moira Dingle (Natalie J Robb) came in and tried to help Mackenzie. The ambulance took Mackenzie to the hospital, and the police took Charity away.
