Emmerdale enthusiasts believe they've figured out who Ella Forster was visiting in the care home. The character, who made a dramatic entrance into the village earlier this year by pouring a drink over her boss Jules and quitting her job on the spot in defence of Mandy Dingle at a vets social, has been raising eyebrows with her behaviour.Since her arrival, Ella has started working as a receptionist at the surgery and begun a relationship with co-worker Dr Liam Cavanagh.

However, her secretive actions, such as sleeping in her car, snapping at Mandy over an old photo, refusing to be photographed at the village fete, and rushing off, have left viewers suspicious. In Thursday's episode, it was hinted that Ella's secret might involve an elderly woman with dementia at a care home, whom she visited and looked at an old photo album with, stopping at a picture of the woman working at a cigarette factory with other girls.

During the visit, Ella revealed she had been coming for some time and both expressed their gratitude for each other, reports the Mirror. In an unfortunate memory lapse, the elderly woman asked to look at the photo album again, to which Ella retorted: "Who cares, it's our thing, we love it! " Hinting at a secret from Ella, the old woman queried: "Were we once very sad about something? " At that very moment, Manpreet Sharma coincidentally appeared in the hallway as she was visiting a care home resident suspected of having shingles.
