The character first appeared in the Dales in August 2024 when he was revealed to be Victoria Sugden's half brother. With much is not known of him, apart from that he was in the army and that he has been carrying the guilt of the loss of his colleague Aidan Moore who had sustained severe injuries when a bomb went off viewers ha away from the barracks, fans haven't really trusted him.
But he has struck up a romantic relationship with Aaron Dingle and it appears he may have taken the ultimate sacrifice to help his new partner.
During Thursday night's (January 23) Emmerdale, John effortlessly helped cover up the death of Anthony Fox. Viewers watched as Aaron confronted villain Anthony after it was revealed that he had abused his daughter Ruby multiple times when she was a teenager.
