manchestereveningnews.co.ukEmmerdale fans have requested that Sir Lindsay Hoyle receive an "NTA" after his cameo in the 10,000th episode of the ITV soap on Monday (January 27) night.
The Chorley MP crossed the Pennines as he appeared during an episode of Emmerdale showing up at the Hide Bar and Bistro to order a hot drink from Laurel.
He played the role of a Lancastrian rambler who was stopping in to enjoy a cup of tea. He previously shared that he was invited to be in the Dales after hosting a reception for the soap industry, and he was even gifted a pair of wellington boots.
The scene was actually filmed in May, but footage was unable to be used until now due to the restrictions on political coverage before the election took place last June.
