Long-standing fans of the soap might remember Ian as Dave Glover in Emmerdale who left the show in 1996. Beth has previously discussed how "supportive" the fellow actor has been when she landed the role.
The pair have been in a relationship for three years and Beth has often declared her loved for Ian, particularly during their time apart when he was touring for Chicago the musical.
Beth recently took a quick step away from the Dales as she went to support Ian during his time in Mamma Mia: The Party who is playing the role of Nikos - the owner of the family-run taverna.
