Emmerdale star Roxy Shahidi has swapped scripts for skates as she competes on this year's Dancing On Ice and will no doubt be supported by her TV star husband.

The actress, 40, who has played the role of Leyla Harding on Emmerdale since 2008, originally signed up six years ago before realising she was pregnant with her daughter, now five.

She welcomed her first child in 2018 with her husband Arsher Ali who is best known for his role on the BBC series Line of Duty.

Arsher boldly asked the soap star to marry him just two weeks after they met, but the couple are yet to officially tie the knot - here's everything we know...
