Charles, Prince of Wales (Charles Philip Arthur George; born 14 November 1948) is the heir apparent to the British throne as the eldest son of Elizabeth II. He has been Duke of Cornwall and Duke of Rothesay since 1952, and he is the oldest and longest-serving heir apparent in British history.

He is also the longest-serving Prince of Wales, having held that title since 1958. Charles was born at Buckingham Palace as the first grandchild of King George VI and Queen Elizabeth. He was educated at Cheam and Gordonstoun schools, which his father, Prince Philip, Duke of Edinburgh, had attended as a child. Charles also spent a year at the Timbertop campus of Geelong Grammar School in Victoria, Australia.

ITV Corrie's Simon Barlow actor shares update from hospital after injury

Coronation Street star Alex Bain has given an update on an injury from hospital. Alex, 20, who plays Corrie's Simon has been keeping his followers on Instagram informed on his progress.

The soap star previously shared pictures as he sat in a wheelchair at Royal Blackburn Hospital A&E department a couple of weeks ago before he jetted off on holiday.

He showed his injury being supported by a medical boot as he explained: "Don’t worry guys it’s just my ankle." Alex, who has played Simon in Corrie since 2008, has given his 21,000 Instagram followers an update as he revealed that his ankle is still strapped up.

He shared a picture from the fracture clinic at the Royal Blackburn Hospital showing him wearing the moon boot. And Alex promised: "I will keep you all updated!" Alex thanked fans for their support as he told them he would have to go back in four weeks.
