ITV confirm replacement for Vera after Brenda Blethyn series comes to an end
ok.co.ukITV have confirmed which show will replace its latest drama, Vera, after the Brenda Blethyn series came to an end.The show, which aired a Christmas special, followed by series 13, ended on Sunday, January 21.
But if fans are worried that they will be without a binge-worthy series, they don't need to, as it's been confirmed that the second series of police drama Trigger Point will be airing on Sunday 28.
Its lead actor is fan-favourite, Vicky McClure, who plays Lana Washington, a former soldier turned bomb disposal expert for the Metropolitan Police.
ITV's Head of Scheduling Strategy, John Williams took to X, formerly known as Twitter to confirm the news. He penned: "Confirmed; #TriggerPoint series 2 launches on Sunday 28th Jan on @ITV @ITVX with @Vicky_McClure Catch up with series 1 now via ITVX." Trigger Point fans were thrilled at the news of the return of the series, as they rushed to the comments section of John's post to share their excitement.
