ITV Britain's Got Talent duo Ant and Dec 'split up' as contestant leaves Ant 'raging' backstage

An act auditioning for ITV's Britain's Got Talent has caused a 'break up' between seemingly inseparable duo Ant and Dec, it has been reported.

One half of the duo was left raging behind stage after being snubbed on air. As the show's return after a near two year hiatus proves to be a real ratings winner for ITV, the hosts have one again played a pivotal role in its success, with viewers lapping up their backstage quips and reactions to acts, as well as digs at the judges.

For as long as anyone can remember, since their TV debut over 30 years on Byker Grove, Ant and Dec have always come as a pair, particularly on screen, so it came as a surprise when a BGT contestant decided to separate them.

One of the early acts on screen during Saturday's Britain's Got Talent was entertainer Tommy J, who told the judges he was going to juggle knives whilst riding a unicycle.
