Parking restrictions are being imposed in a residential area close to Salford Quays as well as Ordsall Park - against the wishes of some living in the area.
A Traffic Regulation Order (TRO) means there will be ‘no waiting at any time’ on West Craven Street, Greenwood Terrace and the surrounding area, following a decision by Salford city council’s lead member for planning, transportation and sustainable development Coun Mike McCusker.
The order is to address ‘indiscriminate parking problems’ caused by the flouting of existing double yellow lines in the area. Salford Quays and Primrose Hill Primary School are nearby and Manchester United's Old Trafford stadium is within walking distance.
