Paving slabs from Albert Square will be re-used at the newest park to come to the city — which will mark the end of Ancoats’ regeneration.
The new park, to be called Ancoats Green, is taking shape on Wadeford Close. It will feature wildflower meadows, wetlands, play areas, grass, an events space - and its paths will be paved by granite slabs recycled from Albert Square's restoration.
It will also sit next to a new ‘Mobility Hub’, and a major housing project from council-owned developer This City — called One Ancoats Green.
