A devastated couple have told how they've 'lost everything' after their home was destroyed when a fire ripped through a takeaway.

Pat Kelly and his wife Vanya are now living in an AirBnB after the blaze wrecked their flat above the Jerk Junction restaurant in Chorlton.

Pat, who has severe arthritis and is unable to work, was at home when the fire broke out on Wednesday morning. He said: "I was pottering about when the smoke alarm went off.

At first I couldn't even smell the smoke, but in less than two minutes the flames were shooting past the window. "It was just black smoke and flames everywhere.
