Family ties are in the DNA of Cloughjordan House. Co-owner Sarah Baker’s love of growing vegetables is a passion gifted from her mother, while the Argentian barbecue oven is a nod to her father.
And that’s before you even touch on the deep family connection Sarah’s husband Peter shares with the land which his family has owned for over a century.
Thirty years ago Sarah arrived as new bride to the Tipperary manor that dates back to 1214 and she and Peter have spent years lovingly restoring it, transforming it from a working dairy farm to an exclusive wedding venue.
Now history is repeating itself as their daughter Julie and her partner Stephen have returned home to follow in her parent’s footsteps in helping to run Cloughjordan House.
