A photographer whose work aims to empower survivors of horrific sexual abuse has slammed a decision to move his exhibition into a 'side room'.
Lee Cooper, from Oldham, insists the move mirrors the way society tries to hide the experiences of survivors - adding to the stigma surrounding their experiences.
The 35-year-old has produced a series of portraits showing survivors of childhood sexual abuse as part of his Victorious Voices project, which aims to 'break the silence' and tell their stories 'with no shame and no fear'.
His work will be showcased in a Manchester city centre venue next month. It's currently on display at the University of Glasgow as part of this month's Scottish Mental Health Arts Festival (SMHAF), and the exhibition opened in a prominent location at the entrance of the university's ARC building.
