He is the first English player to win league titles in four countries: England, Spain, the United States and France. Fendi as its new artistic director for womenswear, covering haute couture, ready-to-wear and fur collections, the Italian fashion house announced on Wednesday morning.Jones will maintain his role as artistic director for Dior alongside his work at Fendi.

The London-born designer comes to the role with major fashion credibility, not to mention a number of starry friends cheering him on.

Those include Naomi Campbell and Kate Moss (both of whom walked in his final catwalk show at Louis Vuitton in January 2018, after he had held the role of men's artistic director at the house for seven years) and David Beckham, who wore a morning suit designed by Jones to Prince Harry and Meghan Markle's wedding in May 2018.The memory of Lagerfeld will loom.
