Buoyed by the pop crossover success of the singles "Love Story" and "You Belong with Me", it became the US' best-selling album of 2009 and was certified diamond in the US. The album won four Grammy Awards, and Swift became the youngest Album of the Year winner.

She was known for her powerful vocals in rancheras and corrido music, experiencing a boom in the ‘60s, where she starred in films like “Santo vs the Zombies.” Following her work in film and music, Serrano got involved in politics, earning a seat in the Mexican Senate.
