Putting the hotel to the test, Kent Live reporter John James decided to visit the infamous accommodation that is owned by Britannia Hotels.
Consumer group Which? ranked Britannia Hotels as the worst chain in a survey of 4,000 guests as UV lights showed stained towels, broken glass and hair in toilets.
They were also previously the subject of an investigation by the consumer magazine into hotel hygiene during the first wave of the pandemic, the Mirror reports.
