Inside the dream home with 12 foot Christmas tree that took three days to decorate

A couple have showed off their striking Christmas decorations inside their beautiful five-bed detached home, which was built from scratch in a Grand Designs-style project.

With lifelong goals to build their own forever home, Katie Cianni and her husband Michael worked tirelessly throughout their 20s to make their vision a reality.

What started out as a vacant plot of land and blueprints back in 2019 has now transformed into the pair's dream home, which is now complete with the most stunning festive decor - including three trees with one standing 12 foot tall.

Katie spoke to the Manchester Evening News as part of our Where I Live series Christmas edition. Each week we chat to a different homeowner across the north west to hear about their home-buying and renovation journey, whilst taking a sneak peak inside.
