A £35m regeneration project which will see Bolton town centre undergo a huge transformation is underway. The Central Street Project, which will deliver 167 new rental homes boasting rooftop terraces and gardens, has entered a key phase, with the site fully prepared and foundations now being installed.
Build-to-rent developer Placefirst is transforming the brownfield site into a new neighbourhood offering a mixture of apartments and town houses for long-term rent.

Placefirst appointed Caddick Construction and started work on the Central Street site in February this year. Work has also started to create new public space along the River Croal.
