Darcy Grey joins the ITV soap as Rhona's horrifying ex Pierce Harris's son, Marcus. Whether or not Marcus is anything like his dastardly dad remains to be seen, but during a press conference with OK!

and other media outlets, Darcy revealed a little bit about his life off-screen.Turns out the charming young actor grew up in Spain for the first 13 years of his life and had a "weird" day job selling "posh dog food" before landing his part in Emmerdale.

"I absolutely dread talking about myself," Darcy said coyly when asked to introduce himself. "I suppose the biggest thing that comes to mind that's slightly different about me is that I was quite lucky in that my mum liked to travel a lot, so I lived in Spain for most of my life. "When people ask where are you from I always waffle on – a little bit like what I'm doing right now – as I'm not really sure how to answer the question because I haven't had that base where I've lived in the same spot."
