Inside Emmerdale's Paddy and Mandy's 25 year romance after fairytale proposal

However, that drama is just a drop in the ocean compared to what the couple has been through from affairs to awful betrayals and second chances.
It all started in 1997 when Paddy arrived in the Emmerdale village - where Mandy had been living since 1995, and she pretty much fell in love with him straight away.
Here, OK! looks back over their 25 year romance… First Meeting and Affair Mandy was determined to get to know her new neighbour, but her cousin, Butch Dingle (Paul Loughran) overheard Paddy bad-mouthing the Dingles and banished him from the house.
