And her stint in the ballroom seems to have worked wonders for her profile - with bookmakers this week making her a favourite to replace Holly Willoughby as host of This Morning.
But Angela, who got her big break in TV as a presenter on Robot Wars and is well known as a reporter for The One Show, still manages to carve out some important family time despite her blossoming career.
Last month she shared a snap of her taking some time off to enjoy a family day out with her two daughters, Ruby and Marnie. Angela, from Meath, shares the two girls with her businessman husband Roy Horgan, from Cork.
