Tess Daly has shared her disappointment as she couldn't be there to cheer on her husband Vernon Kay, who completed an epic ultramarathon for Children In Need.The Strictly Come Dancing host said she was "absolutely gutted" not to be at the finish line due to filming commitments.
Vernon Kay, who hosts the morning show on BBC Radio 2, took on a 115-mile ultramarathon to raise money for the charity that supports disadvantaged children and young people across the UK.
He started his journey in Leicester's Victoria Park and finished four days later at the Bolton Wanderers stadium, his hometown.The star arrived in Bolton and ran into the football stadium to be greeted by cheerleaders, a brass band, and a large crowd of fans.
Pudsey Bear, the iconic mascot of Children In Need, also cheered him on. Vernon's parents, Gladys and Norm, along with family and friends, were there to welcome him home.The emotional DJ was seen hugging them at the stadium.
