For almost 20 years no one has set foot inside the eerie abandoned Crooked Cottage. The run-down rural Hertfordshire house was once home to a father and daughter but since 2003 no one has lived there and the building has mysteriously remained empty.
In the kitchen there are preserved jars of gooseberries and the beds remain made up and waiting for someone to sleep in them.
The father and daughter lived together in the strange home until 1971, when he passed away. She was unmarried and remained in the house she had shared with her dad until she was taken into a care home 17 years ago.
