Olivia Dunne, the LSU gymnast and Sports Illustrated swimsuit model who is one of the most popular influncers on social media, has allegedly run into a TikTok problem.
Dunn noticed that her engagement from her 7.8 million followers was way down, and asked on a video, “Why am I shadow banned?” The shadowbanning practice allows content to be posted, but severely limits the audience that can see it.
Dunne’s last four videos fell below a million views, a benchmark that previously was the lowest a post would draw. The influencer is reportedly making $1 million per year, making her one of the leading social media stars.
Dunne, 21, has already had some issues with the TikTok platform. Earlier this year, her account disappeared for a brief period. “It’s a glitch,” Dunne tweeted in response to one person who asked about the disappearance. “Idk what’s wrong with my account right now.” The account was restored shortly thereafter.
