Tatler, the so-called ‘society bible’, has declared that snobbery is back. According to the new edition of the magazine, the pandemic forced snobs to take a brief hiatus – for a while there, life got a bit too heavy and serious for such trivialities.

But now things have settled down a bit, and the masses have returned to festivals and football stadiums, it’s safe to come out of your 15-bedroom country estate and be snooty again.

Hooray Henry!There are rules, of course. You can’t just be snobby about anything – that would risk being terribly common. Tatler says that the New Snobbery involves being “ruthlessly snobby about other people’s misplaced snobbishness”.
