It's been a long time since Manchester's iconic Kimpton Clocktower Hotel offered an afternoon tea, so it's not holding back with the launch of its new luxury offering.

Curated in partnership with tea connoisseurs Tea from the Manor, foodies are in for a treat with the experience, which is set inside the hotel's relaxing, leafy Winter Garden, a light and airy space at the heart of its Refuge bar and restaurant.

Guests are served a selection of treats 'with a Refuge twist' with every booking, from elevated classics such as truffled egg mayonnaise finger sandwiches and smoked salmon and pickled cucumber brioche, to sweet delights like glazed lemon meringue pie, carrot cake and, of course, scones.

A selection of loose-leaf tea is available from Holmes Chapel-based Tea from the Manor, including premium white tea Silver Needle, spiced rum and cocoa blend Rum Arabica and a bespoke Refuge blend, 'a vibrant herbal infusion' blending rosehip, hibiscus, peppermint, blackcurrant, and strawberry leaves for 'a refreshing and fruity escape'.
