Steven George Gerrard MBE (born 30 May 1980) is an English professional football manager and former player who manages Scottish Premiership club Rangers.
He spent the majority of his playing career as a central midfielder for Liverpool, with most of that time spent as club captain, as well as captaining the England national team. Widely regarded as one of the greatest midfielders of all time,
Gerrard was awarded the UEFA Club Footballer of the Year award in 2005, and the Ballon d'Or Bronze Award. In 2009, Zinedine Zidane and Pelé said that they considered Gerrard to be the best footballer in the world.
It's reported in Italy that Rangers may not sign Ianis Hagi outright at the end of his loan deal from Genk, potentially opening the door for Lazio.
The midfielder joined Steven Gerrard 's side in January, with an option to buy included in the deal. He's quickly become a fan favourite at Ibrox, and Rangers have the first option to sign him.
According to Italian outlet Corriere dello Sport though Gerrard has already decided that he doesn't want Hagi as part of his squad for next season.
The 21-year-old has previously been linked with a move to Lazio and the newspaper believes he could be available for €5-6million.
