Steven George Gerrard MBE (born 30 May 1980) is an English professional football manager and former player who manages Scottish Premiership club Rangers.
He spent the majority of his playing career as a central midfielder for Liverpool, with most of that time spent as club captain, as well as captaining the England national team. Widely regarded as one of the greatest midfielders of all time,
Gerrard was awarded the UEFA Club Footballer of the Year award in 2005, and the Ballon d'Or Bronze Award. In 2009, Zinedine Zidane and Pelé said that they considered Gerrard to be the best footballer in the world.
Ianis Hagi could leave Rangers this summer after reports of a transfer clause in his contract emerged. The Romanian international joined Rangers last summer after an impressive loan from Genk, but has been in and out of the team this season as the Ibrox side raced to the title.
Hagi has managed eight goals and 10 assists in all competitions for Steven Gerrard 's side but has started just 21 Premiership games this term, with the latest coming on Wednesday night against Livingston.
However, reports in Hagi's homeland claim that the midfielder could leave the Premiership champions for a staggering £10million this summer due to a release clause in his contract.
