Former Arsenal and England striker Ian Wright has compared the ongoing situation at Manchester United to that of Mike Ashley's tenure as Newcastle United owner.
United, despite entering a new dawn at the start of this season under new manager Erik ten Hag, have made a disastrous start to the campaign, finding themselves bottom of the Premier League table after their opening two matches.
United were beaten 2-1 by Brighton on the opening day of the season before being thumped 4-0 by Brentford six days later. The Reds' failure to bring in the right players in the transfer market so far this summer means that the supporters' frustrations and anger towards the Glazer family have reached an all-time high.
They protested against them ahead of the Brighton clash and are set to hold another protest ahead of Monday night's showdown with Liverpool.
