Newcastle United have included a recall clause in the deal that has seen Manchester United sign goalkeeper Martin Dubravka on a season-long loan.
Following confirmation of the capture of Antony on deadline day morning, United completed their second signing of the day with the addition of the Slovakian goalkeeper.
The 33-year-old, who joined Newcastle back in 2018, has joined the Reds on a season-long deal, with the option to make it permanent next summer.
United have paid a £2million loan fee to bring the former Sparta Prague shot-stopper to Old Trafford and have an obligation to sign him if he makes a fixed number of Premier League appearances.
