The owner is the last person believed to have seen the 19-year-old when he set off from the accomodation on Monday morning, June 17.Jay had stayed there with people he met after attending a music festival.
The owner later claimed she saw him walking uphill into the mountains alone.Jay, from Oswaldtwistle, Lancashire, made his last known call to his friend Lucy at around 8 am, telling her he was lost and his phone was about to run out of power.
His phone's last known location was in a vast mountainous area about half a mile north of Masca.A huge search operation has been taking place in Tenerife for five days now which is proving difficult for rescue teams looking through the desolate and challenging landscapes.
