Partners Nick Johnson MBE and Jenny Thompson MBE, owners of Altrincham Market, Mackie Mayor in Manchester and the Picturedrome in Macclesfield, kickstarted the food hall trend which has led to huge success across each venue.
Both have been dedicated to the transformation of each project whilst encouraging the use of independent businesses and new talent.
On both being recognised in this year's Honours with an MBE, Nick, 57, said: “It was difficult to believe. There is a massive sense of recognition for what we set out to achieve 10 years ago.
