A community arts centre in Hulme has expressed fears that it may soon have to close- with concerns about mounting debts and bills.

The Nia Radical Arts Centre on Warwick Street provides a free space for arts classes, primarily for the children and community of Hulme and Moss Side, including the Nia Choir, B-Boy Breakdancing and the Ku’Umba performance collective.

It also makes use of part of the Hulme Hippodrome, a historic Grade II listed building dating back to 1902. But organisers say they are facing mounting debts, struggling to pay rent and bills each month.
