Blake Lively‘s legal team is responding to Justin Baldoni‘s lawsuit against The New York Times.
All of the drama surrounding the It Ends With Us hit a peak last week when Blake filed a legal complaint against Justin, citing sexual harassment and a smear campaign, which he has denied through his legal team. Justin then filed a $250 million libel lawsuit against the Times on New Year’s Eve, claiming the paper “‘cherry-picked’ and altered communications stripped of necessary context and deliberately spliced to mislead.” Justin‘s lawyer told Variety that the Times “cowered to the wants and whims of two powerful ‘untouchable’ Hollywood elites, disregarding journalistic practices and ethics once befitting of the revered publication by using doctored and manipulated texts and intentionally omitting texts which dispute their chosen PR narrative.” On the same day, Blake formally filed a lawsuit against Justin that was based on the claims made in her previous complaint.
