A professional makeup artist has shared the “biggest mistake” she sees people frequently making when applying their makeup. People may wear makeup to accentuate their natural looks, to create a dramatic effect, or to improve or alter their appearance in some way.
What all makeup lovers want, though, is for their hard work to pay off and for their new look to last all day. Catching sight of yourself in the mirror a few hours after finishing your makeup and spotting caking and creasing is frustrating.
Pro MUA Tiffany Lumpkin has offered up her expertise in a bid to help people stop making the same simple error. Taking to TikTok, the beauty guru began: “The biggest mistake I see people do as a professional makeup artist that’s been doing this for over 15 years – I’m about to show you what it is.” Tiffany then ventured into iconic beauty department store Sephora, where she held up a selection of setting sprays and fixing sprays.
She continued: “Do you know the difference between a setting spray and a fixing spray? A lot of people get really mad when their setting spray doesn’t work – I don’t think people really understand what setting sprays do.” The professional explained the key differences between the two products, and said setting sprays are designed to “hydrate the makeup” and “make the skin look like skin”.
