The First Dates star and his fiancée, known by her nickname Fruitcake, had been quietly planning their wedding in Jamaica for next year with only close family and friends told about the details.
So it's no surprise she was shocked that he dropped her in it by telling his campmates - and ITV viewers - all about their plans for the big day while appearing on the prime time TV show.
Fruitcake, who has arrived in Australia ahead of the show's end, said that she has since had people asking for invites who did not know about the secret wedding before Fred talked about it on TV, saying of him: "So, like, thanks." But she got her own back by revealing one of Fred's secrets - that his underwear allowance of five pairs of pants includes three pairs of speedo-style swimming trunks.
