I’m A Celebrity star Reverend Richard Coles opened up in emotional scenes last night about his late husband. Richard, 62, was married to David Oldham - but in 2019, Richard sadly announced that David had passed away after being ‘ill for a while’.

Later, Richard confirmed David had died as a result of alcoholic liver disease. And in the most recent episode of I’m A Celebrity (26 November), Richard, who has since met his new partner, Dickie Cant, opened up to Oti Mabuse about his devastating loss.

Richard also revealed dreams he’s had about his late husband, and how David remains a ‘massive hole in his life'. Talking to Oti in the I’m A Celebrity camp, Richard said: “I miss him.

And I want him to walk in the door. I had a dream he walked in the door and he was just carrying a Co-op bag, just like he'd been shopping and I said to him ‘I thought you were dead’ and he said ‘No I was just out shopping’. “I said ‘It's nice to see you, thanks for coming back’ to which he said, ‘Oh I'm not staying, I met somebody else’.
