A woman completely changed her life after seeing an "embarrassing" photo of herself as the first in the queue at a buffet. Kelly Barker, 44, was over 28st when a picture taken at a family party made her realise she needed to stop hiding and make a serious change to her life.
The mum-of-one, from St Helens, said the shock of the photo gave her the "kickstart" she needed and she has now dropped over 18st.
She told the ECHO: "I've been on every single diet going, I've lost weight before then I'd fall off the wagon and put it back on quickly.
It got to the stage where I was 28st and 7Ibs and I started thinking 'what if I die and leave my son?' "It was a photograph that was taken at a family do that really gave me the kickstart I needed.
