'I just want to help those in need... but I'm getting bombarded with death threats'

A woman who runs a foodbank in a town centre has said she gets death threats and hateful messages for helping to feed the needy.

Tanisha Bramwell said people have called her a 'paid actor' and accused of her 'staging' her acts of goodwill, YorkshireLive reports.

She said she has received 30 to 40 death threats this year alone, which she has reported to police. The 27-year-old, along with a team of 18 volunteers, runs a foodbank in Bond Street in Dewsbury town centre which delivers around 80 food parcels every day, many of them to families.

Tanisha helps people struggling to meet ends meet in Kirklees, Wakefield, Leeds and Bradford, and also organises youth activities to deter young people from getting involved in crime.
